Description

Smoky Amethyst is a combination of Amethyst and Smoky Quartz, often included as a phantom or distinct patch within a point. An optical and crowded skinny layer of a matrix with agate banding.

This specimen features a rough cluster of glassy, translucent, slim, and long-stems smoky amethyst crystal growth on a skinny layer of green jasper on the matrix, which makes it a unique collection. Smoky Amethyst with long pines is a rare find among the amethyst family. Every crystal pine pointing up is transparently clear and sparkling, even with light pinkish-purple smoky hue inclusions.
